Hello!
My name is Xènia Bas, a ceramicist by profession and by vocation. Ceramics is my great passion, and a fundamental part of my work is to share it with children and young people. That is why, in the summer, I open the doors of my workshop in Barcelona to offer ceramics classes for children and young people aged 7 to 15 years old.
The children will work with clay in a creative and relaxed environment, developing manual skills, concentration, patience and, above all, their imagination!
Hand-modeled : They will shape the clay by creating animals, cups, vases, or figures that they themselves will imagine.
Pottery wheel : They will try the wheel, a fun experience where they will see how the clay transforms in their hands.
Decoration and painting: Once they are dry, they will decorate their pieces with colors, textures, and glazes.
Everyone progresses at their own pace. If it is their first contact with ceramics, they will learn from the very basics. And if they already have experience, they can continue developing their skills.
